The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Miami-Dade Police, Sunrise Police and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in a mock child abduction exercise on Thursday, October 30, 2008, to test the region’s Child Abduction Response Team (CART) efforts.

The exercise will begin at Tropical Park in Miami-Dade County at 7 a.m. and will conclude with a press conference at the park at 11:15 a.m. The Broward County portion of the CART exercise will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Markham Park.

In Palm Beach County, the exercise will begin at 8 a.m. at Okeeheelee Park and also will end with a press conference at the park at 11:15 a.m. Public information officers will be at each location to assist the media.

FYI - (for Palm Beach County) they are using the Intersystem/Mutual Aid Talkgroups for this exercise. TG 63824 Law Enforcement Common 2 (Countywide Interagency) is where they just broadcasted the info on the victim/suspect. Sounds like the event will be contained to Okaheelee park (Forest Hill/Turnpike).
