OCALA at approx 12:15 pm today, a woman passer-by flagged down OPD Tango 6 (patrol car) and informed him that they witnessed a blond haired short white male wearing the "green & white" stripped shirt and pants (inmate full uniform) duck out from the wooded area near 1000 block of South Magnolia and then he took a 10-8 into the woods accross the street. OPD is setting up a loose parameter to remain HOT near 3rd Avenue and 17th Street S.E. They are also searching S.E. 16th Place and S.E. 9th Avenue. They are following the passer-by's tip that he was near the woods near Wallgreens and the rail road tracks. K-9 and Helo called in. Eagle 1 enroute.

OPD reports near Magnolia an inmate work crew was operating, and OPD is attempting to confirm local inmate work group head-counts. OPD is also setting up a search parameter near 8th Street and 9th Avenue near the Historical District. A lock-down of inmates may be forthcoming.

At 12:50 search is still underway, and no confirmation of missing inmates is being discussed on the air. OPD portables are not operating well, and a radio liason is being set up for communications. OPD crosspatch freq. to MCSO has high amount of traffic on it. TAC freq's also pretty hot.
