"Engine 10 ... Romeo" means E-10 will write the incident report.
"Rescue 1 ... Papa" has evolved over time....it used to be patient contact, "Hotel" for at hospital, "Papa" for released from patient care. Now, it's more of "patient care delivered." You may hear "Papa Romeo."
"Alpha" means nothing found, unable to locate. "We'll go Alpha if no call back information."
I've seen these spelled out once, but have no first-person knowledge......so, I may not have it 100% accurate.
Alpha = False alarm unable to find the incident
Delta = Unit making investigative report (Have not heard this on in a long time)
Papa = Unit had patient contact
Romeo = Unit was the primary unit for the incident, writes the primary report
I remember at least 25 years ago when I lived there, when they used Kilo and Echo and basically the entire phonetic alphabet including dispatching with signals and using the 10 codes.
And by the way thanks for providing this feed, really makes me feel like I'm back home.
