Which model of RadioShack scanner do you have?

What agencies are you wanting to listen to?

The Orange County Trunked Radio System is analog .... for now.......which many triple-trunking scanner could follow. Likely, if it's a PRO-2052, you'll have to enter all the frequencies in the scanner and the talkgroups, as well. I have owned many RadioShack scanners, and they are relatively easy to program....once you figure out the pattern/routine to use.

There are some agencies & users on VHF and UHF in the Orlando, but very few.

The bad news, for you, is the city/county will likely soon be going 100% to digital transmissions......you will not be able to monitor them with just any scanner. Most digital-capable scanners run (new) $400 - $500 apiece.

You need to tell us which RS scanner you have and what systems you are trying to monitor in the Orlando area. We can help when we get that information.
