Arrow Clearwater system

I`m getting some weird talk group ID`s that arent in EDAC`s talk group format such as i13730 that is one ID sounds like public works or something , but there are several staring with a i. anybody know what they are and why do they start with an i?

That could mean an iCall. That is a direct connection between two system users. Check your scanner manual or radio reference wiki.

No "could mean" to it.... that's an I-Call.

Tip: set up a seperate talkgroup for I-Calls, with Wildcard TG ID ".0" as the only TG so that it stops on ALL I-Calls. That way you can turn the I-Call group "on" and "off" as you wish.

Boy they use some fowl language on i-calls. Doesnt the FCC monitor them?

Only if they received a number of complaints. I'm sure the FCC has got bigger fish to fry than a couple of sanitation workers from Clearwater.

I hear that. Yeah i shut off i-calls nobody wants to hear tyrone and terell talk about rims and hoes.
