Sure world appreciate a feed from Osceola County Fire Rescue, my scanner won't pick it up and my son is on the job there.

Default Osceola County Fire Rescue

Are you trying to receive their 800 MHz trunked talkgroups or their VHF high band simulcast channel? (154.37 MHz) What kind of receiving equipment are you working with?

I see this two ways if hick69 is using a analog trunking or P25 trunking scanner.

If 800 MHz

Probably because hick69 lives in Oviedo (SE Seminole County), he would be out of range of the Osceola TRS signal range unless he had a outdoor antenna setup with a pre-amp and 800 MHz yagi about 30 feet in the air pointed towards one of the Osceola 800 MHz towers.

If VHF simulcast of dispatch

Probably more likely to receive it than the 800 MHz on a portable, but probably still out of range. He would need at least an outdoor scanner antenna about 20-25 feet in the air to receive that signal reliably as well.

Default Ocfr

He is probably better off trying to monitor the VHF simulcast frequency of 154.37 MHz I live on the top floor of a 4 story apartment building in Orange City Volusia county & I can pick it up only at night & he is halfway between my QTH & Kissimmee, if he has roof access, all he would need is any halfway decent VHF yagi & some decent coax like LMR400 or Belden 9913 & he is guaranteed to recieve OCFR easily. I used to reside in Poinciana so I still like monitoring them, unfortunately since they dispatch & receive only in the carrier squelch mode I also pick up Sumpter County & Mt. Dora in Lake County.

I will get a feed going soon on here. I got a couple of yagi`s about 64 ft up. I can pretty much pick up any TRS in central Fl.

Also, while we're at it, could someone update the SO Dispatch and TTY talkgroups? When I pass through Osceola, I hear Dispatch traffic on TTY TGs and vice versa. I just don't spend enough time there to investigate it myself.

The sheriff talkgroups listed in the database are correct. I can tell you that sometimes they use dispatch for tty when things are slow.. As for the radio feed, once its up please let me know and I will patch the osceola fire rescue website to it. I live to far away to provide a feed or I would do it myself..

Ok, I'll take your word for it. I've heard West units dispatched, 10-51, 10-97, etc., etc., (not your typical TTY type traffic) on the West TTY talkgroup, so that's why I thought they had switched some things around. I usually ease through on I-4 sometime after 2145-2200hrs, if that has something to do with it.

I'd appreciate the feed, Harry. I have a RadioShack Pro 2096 TrunkTracker. I can pick up Osceola on scan, but not trunked.

Yes that was the old Station-41. I do not believe they use that station anymore after the hurricane damaged the building. They built a new station {Osceola Co Station-45/Polk Co Station-34} Close to the Solivita Sub. Div. Anyone can correct me if I am wrong, I haven't been there in several years.

Just to correct this info,

Osceola County Fire Rescue Station 65 is a joint station with Polk county fire department. The station is physically located in polk county at 1201 cypress parkway. it houses polk county ladder 34, tanker 34, als 27(rescue 34), osceola engine 65, rescue 65, and brush tanker 65. The old station 41 which was located on marigold was demolished after the hurricanes, then osceola did a renumbering and added an engine once moved into the new station, then once again the county did a renumbering and is now 65 since the division of the county into 3 battalions. Also as of Oct 5 polk county ems is no longer in this station since polk county fire is trying a merger and now als27 is staffed with polk county fire personell and will be renamed to rescue 34 very soon. Hope this helps.. On the scanner side of things, Osceola is dispatched on Tac 1 and response on Tac 3, polk is dispatched on Tac 1/VHF and respond on Tac 5 unless its a fire then on Tac 10
