Default Audio released of highspeed chase/shooting

It was a sad day around here when the news of the shooting of the two Okaloosa County deputies. They have released scanner audio of the chase. I had a chance to listen to it. I can’t come up with words to describe it. Sad day by all.

The sight just updated with audio from the responding EMS units to the scene.

The only reason I wanted to point this out is Okaloosa EMS is on the Florida SLERS system. This is my first time hearing audio from SLERS. From listening, the EMS units and dispatcher have a hard time understanding each other. Initial call and message traffic had to be repeated numerous times. I know it was poor audio recording but the system doesn’t sound like it performs like it should. Too much time wasted repeating transmissions.

That really is sad. Listening to the Medic traffic, I have no idea how they could even understand what was being said.

I don't want to get off track too much, this was a real tragedy, my thoughts and prayers go out to the families.

as far as SLERS goes i had the opportunity to hear traffic on a radio at a scale in plant city and it was completely clear, may be an issue in okaloosa.
