Default Hills. Co. west site will be down today

Just to let everyone know, the Hillsborough County EDACS west site will be down till 1800 hours (6pm) today. All west side units will use the east site.

HCFR Tac 2 is on east Tac 7...
HCSO is using the east event channels.
TPD is using new east TGID's 10-121 to 10-126.

I have recently logged these new Hillsborough East Side IDs down here in Manatee County. I know they are for TPD but, can anyone provide accurate info. on what each one is used for, for purposes of alpha tagging descriptions for 10-121 thru 10-127? Obviously, that information is not yet in the database.

Another one that has started popping up on the east side is 10-137. Also appears to be TPD but not sure what area or purpose it is used for.

They should be in order as...

A Main
B Main
C Main
D Main
E Main
F Main
Records

However, I do not know what good they'll do in the database since everything will be back to normal in a few hours on the west site. Perhaps they can be added as TPD backup for the east site?

The radio techs on 14-007 are talking about resetting mux's and I also heard a deputy on another talk group reporting a poor signal.

Just out of curiosity, how did you know in advance it was going down and when it'll be back up?

I have an alpha pager and HCFR sent pages to their units regarding their radios.

Not sure what was accomplished at all, none of the pages I received specified why the switch.

All I know is units on the west side had to suffer with bad reception on the east side for 12 hours while radio shop completed several tests on the west. I had other obligations and didn't listen to either site much during testing, so other than that, beats me!

My best guess is that they want to ensure that all the bugs are worked out before they add TFR to the system.

Is your pager on 929.8875 MHz? If not, what's the frequency and can you recommend any good capcodes?

Thanks!

This is helpful... Thanks. I'm going to put them in as backup TPD TGs. From my location in southern Manatee, I only get the East site with any consistency.

When they started popping up the other day, I was pretty sure it was TPD but, didn't know why these TGs suddenly appeared on the East site.

Hi Gang. I read that TFD is still being mentioned here as an add to the Hills. Cnty. System. Hope to hear it come to fruition before I leave the area in April. I thought that the TFD was adament about joining in the EDACS system ???

If I understand correctly a change over is immanent, but it's anyone's guess when that will be.
