Default AMR (American Medical Response) Tampa.

Does anyone know what the AMR system/frequencies are for Tampa? Seems to me they used to be listed on a LTR system somewhere but I cannot find it. Thanks in advance..... John.

Update: Found AMR on Brodie's LTR in the database but no hits yet. Anyone know if they are still there, or did they move like CIS.

I've been listening to MOCE and I haven't heard anything yet from them. CIS switched to MOCE because BCI reception had alot to be desired.

If I see an AMR paramedic around I'll ask but I doubt they would know what system they use.

Sounds good, I'll keep on monitoring them. Do you know the MOCE Pinellas freq's and LCN's are?

There are actually two systems in Pinellas, one says MOCE, the other Telecom. MOCE is just a local reseller of Telecom. There is also one in Hillsborough, which most likely has AMR because their local dispatch center is off of Anderson Road and Hillsborough Ave, just north of TIA. Besides they contract in Hillsborough along with Americare and Transcare.

Pinellas
Telecom: Telecom Network Trunking System, Oldsmar, Florida - Scanner Frequencies
MOCE: Mobile One C & E Trunking System, Oldsmar, Florida - Scanner Frequencies (1 freq?)

Hillsborough:
MOCE: Mobile 1 C&E Trunking System, Tampa, Florida - Scanner Frequencies

Below are some random LCNs and Frequencies as picked up by a 106. The providers seem to allocate a home frequency and LCN to a group, and provide overflow LCN/frequencies if needed, but going to overflow frequencies seems rare so its kinda of like monitoring a conventional frequency. With the providers registeirng so many frequencies, its tough to figure overflow frequencies go to a group. Havent' checked what locations they are supposed to transmit from yet, but CIS at 454.25 and 454.3 are registered to trasmit various locations according to FCC.

LCN Frequency
20 460.4375 static, respond to traffic accident
1 460.825
16 451.85
19 464
20 460.21875
7 461.25 taxi dispatch
1 461.825 taxi dispatch pinellas
4 461.275
1 454.25 CIS
1 454.3 CIS
1 454.2 CIS
13 452.275 Helicopter Metro 1/Bay News 9 /Metro base (all over that mobile home this morning)
1 460.2125
4 451.425 filling potholes, road services
19 463.3
11 452.2625
3 452.325
4 452.475 pinellas beach trolley?
16 451.85 towing/road service

conventional 457.275 also carries the helicopter and other tv station coordination, or at least that's what it sounds like.

I can hear the helo but not the base on 457.275, weird part is 457.275 is licensed to the City of Tampa (WNFN284).

According to the FCC database, it's also assigned to Brodie/BCI in a trunked system. Both licenses are active, strange.

Yeah, some conversations on that channel had both sides this morning before he raised base on the LTR system. He seems to have one channel in one ear, and another channel in the the other. Tough to tell who he is talking to. One complete converstation the other day referenced monitoring FHP for developments on the highways to help prioritize which traffic accidents to fly to.

I have been in the AMR radio room and they are primarily using Nextel for their dispatch.

Ah ha, that would make sense, as I have been scouring the above mentioned systems with no joy. Thank you and welcome to Radio Reference! Ps: Although I see now you have been a member since 6/05

If you are within a couple of miles or so, St. Joseph’s Hospital LTR (MLK and MacDill in Tampa, FL) provides some different stuff, like doctors, ER, gunshot wounds, defribulator connectors and other assorted hospital operations. RS 106 automove shows: (1) 463.8, (2) 464.575, (3) 461.775, (4) 462.4, (5) 464.15. LCN 3 461.775 was the only one I could verify independent of automove in the short time I was at the nearby mall. 463.8 and 464.575 seemed to be conventional with maintenance comms, but I didn’t spend much time verifying. Can't pick it up from Pinellas.
