Default Tallahassee Fire digital dispatch

Sounds like TFD is starting to launch their previously announced digital dispatch system. This morning there are ongoing "tests" of short transmissions with a data burst followed by a computerized voice announcing "Building Fire", "Alarm Activation", "Non-Emergency Service Call" etc.

Their actual alarms are still going out with the old tone system, but I suspect the days of decoding fire tone outs on TFD are numbered!

Default No more Tallahassee FD Tone Outs

It appears that TFD has made the switch to digital alerting, no more old fashioined tones being used, so no Tone Outs on BC 15, BC 396, Two Tone detect etc.

As of now, tones are still being used for the five county VFDs

All Large Fire Departments are making the move to the new digital system. Mobile, Alabama switched earlier this year. Here is a video of the San Antonio, Texas Fire System.

No, it isn't Locution. Different sounds and voice. The alert is a serious of what sounds like bells. They ring in different patterns for each call type.
