PBSO Dispatch Audio Quality Issues

Does anyone know why in the past week or so, Palm Beach Cty Sheriff dispatch audio quality has decreased? It sounds more digital now and kind of muffled. Transmissions from the cars into dispatch is still fine. Thanks in advance.

Because PBSO just did what BSO did a few months ago; They converted and outfitted their dispatcher consoles to be Digital-ready & capable. That allows BSO to communicate with, and eventually convert to, digital channels; PBSO is doing the same... I was actually working the same night they took down their analog current system for a few hours while they installed and upgraded to Digital-capable, they moved all radio traffic to the 98-TAC mutual aid channel while they did this process...

Any way to improve the dispatch audio on th 996XT?

Thanks for the reply. Is there any way to change the settings on the 996XT to improve the dispatch audio now that they have made those changes.
