Default Mutual Aid Redux

This morning in east Lee County (Fort Myers) I heard traffic for about an hour (6:00AM to about 7:00AM) on one of the 800 MHz mutual aid frequencies: 868.0125 MHz. It sounded like an undercover opertation:

"It looks like he's going to go straight through the intersection."
"Yeah, still going straight through,... straight through.... yeah, we got him on the left turn. Keep on him..."

It didn't sound like a chase, more like they were following someone at a distance. It was obvious I was only hearing one half of the converstation. Also, I have no idea what the agencies were that were utilizing this frequency. Maybe a joint operation between FHP and the Lee County Sheriff's Office???

Anyway, keep those mutual aid frequencies plugged in somewhere in your scanner. You might hear something interesting on them one of these days:

Frequency Input Tone CH Description
866.01250 821.01250 156.7 PL I-CALL Emergency Calling
866.51250 821.51250 156.7 PL I-TAC1 Mutual Aid Tactical Ops 1
867.01250 822.01250 156.7 PL I-TAC2 Mutual Aid Tactical Ops 2
867.51250 822.51250 156.7 PL I-TAC3 Mutual Aid Tactical Ops 3
868.01250 823.01250 156.7 PL I-TAC4 Mutual Aid Tactical Ops 4
