Default Reporting Problem Posts

With the recent spate of trolling, we have experienced quite a few problem posts and it has become apparent that not everyone knows how to report these problems. With that in mind to report a problem post:
  1. Please don't join in the thread by responding to it
  2. Press the "Report Post" icon () which is located on the top bar of every post in the forums.
  3. Fill out the form you are taken to and submit it.
That is all there is to it.

Question

Is there a policy pertaining to people that continue to cause problems on others posts? It seems like lately this has been on the rise. Possibly a 3 strike type deal?? thanks Hoser147

Not in writing, it is a consensus policy among the moderators and Lindsay. Not necessarily a 3 strikes policy, but that is a factor.

Default Ignore List option

Don't know if people are aware but another option you can take is to add usernames of members whose posts continually irritate you to your ignore list. Just click on their user name, go to "view public profile", and click "Add xxxxx to Your Ignore List". You will still see that they replied to posts but their reply is hidden from you unless you remove them from your ignore list. I use this function a lot on another message board to help maintain a safe blood pressure level.

Note that you cannot ignore moderators, only regular user names.

Hope that helps your viewing of the message boards. Obviously if a post is a problem and you see it you should report it, but this way you might not have to read it in the first place.
