Default Posting the same thread in more than 1 forum

Since I've seen numerous instances of this lately, I'd thought I'd put out this gentle reminder of policy...

Deliberatly posting the same thread in more than 1 forum is discouraged on this site. It is considered bad form.

Thanks for your future compliance 73s Mike

How do you prove if something is deliberate?

You just gotta be patient when your posting. Just one click. Pretty simple..

It's been reported that the software for this board sometimes posts the same message twice within the same forum. It's deliberate when someone does it to two (or more) different forums... 'nuff said 73s Mike

Well its not like its a big deal if someone does post in more then one forum.

Its going to keep happening anyway so this thread is pretty much useless.

You would think it is that simple. So why do you seem to be such a top offender of this policy?

That's just for starters.

I will agree that posting the same info in mulitple fourms here should be discourage.

But I do you post the same questions in the various state fourms when I am building a list of ham frequencies or what ever for trip. But I try and suit them for the various states that can not get info on others

I'm not going to spend my time looking through every thread you have started to see if it is a multiple. I have better things to do. As ALREADY STATED in the post (apparently you are unable to read) I mentioned that that list is just for starters. I'm sure you have many more, however, I refuse to spend more than 2 minutes on something as worthless as this.

The first one is a cross post but IMO it should have never been locked as he was just trying to share the incident with more then just the cali people (mods need to understand that).

The others are not cross posted through out different forums, they were the dreaded double post.

You should be the one that is embarrassed by starting crap with a teenager...

Jeez!

Mike had a simple idea when he posted this, to remind people that you should not cross post the same information in multiple forums. Not a real hard concept to accept.

We all know about the duplicate post problem of the software (or at least all the moderators do) and everyone else should just ignore or report such instances.

So with that said, no Dubbin, it was not useless, but your comment certainly was.

Landon, this is another instance of you wasting bandwidth with your insistence on commenting on everything despite the private warnings you have received, consider this a public one.

justinnmr, it is not your place to point out another member's problems or mistakes in public, you have an issue, report a post.

hoser147, no problem.

KC0STG, that is not quite the same thing that Mike was referring to in the OP, and what you're referring to is perfectly okay (if I correctly understood what you were saying.)

Considering that this entire thread has deviated from what Mike intended with his OP, I am going to close it so that the nonsense stops. I am also going to make it a sticky with the hopes that it does some good on several fronts.
