Default Can't tell what I read

Not sure what changed. I remember in the past when I read a thread it would show up as not so bold font, what can I change to make this happen again? Thanks.

In the new post screen, it should show up as not-highlighted.

The bolding and highlighting work the same when viewed from the forum index, if you aren't seeing the above or below representations, something is wrong at your end.

Interestingly, when I go through the forums at home with FF; the yellow doesn't go away after I've read a post.
However, using IE at work; it does change to white after reading.

Which FF version are you on, David? No problem with mine changing from highlighted to non (plain white) on FF 3.0.7

I'm using the same.
Wonder if one of the extensions is causing the difference?
I'm using AdBlockPlus to get rid of website garbage.
