Default post quotations

I've noticed that a number of the experienced members display a quotation aqt the end of their posts/threads.
How is this accomplished?
Thank you.

If you enclose the text in[*quote*] at the beginning and [*/quote*] at the end it will create the quote block. (remove the *)

You can write above and below that enclosed text.

If you mean that the quote is after the information posted (such as I have done here) instead of having the quote at the top of the post (as in post #2 by vabiro), it is simply a matter of positioning the cursor at the top-left corner of the text box, hitting <enter> to push the text down a line, put the cursor back in the top-left corner and begin typing.

Bottom right of the post you are reading are three tabs for you to click "Quote" "Multi Quote" and "Quick Reply". Just click the first "Quote" tab.

All you have to do is click the "Quote" button. Here's a screenshot with the Quote button circled in red:

(NOTE: Since the above is a picture, the buttons in it will not actually work.)

When you do that, you should see something like this:

Then, just type your post either above or below that text, depending on where you want the quote to appear.

Try experimenting with it and you'll get the hang of it in no time.

You can also see all of the "commands" that can be used in the text box when you create a post on this page. When I first started participating in forums, I printed these codes out (several pages worth) and I still keep them beside my computer.

Another thing you should check is in your User CP. Go to your User CP and go down to "Settings and Options" in the left panel. Then click on "Edit Options." On the next page that opens, scroll all the way to the bottom and find the section labeled " Miscellaneous Options." There is a drop-down menu there. Check that menu and make sure you have "Standard Editor - Extra Formatting Controls" selected.

Mac or not, you should be able to create the quotes and whatnot that you are wondering about.

No, it's not Mac related.
