Default Splitting the Classified For Sale Thread

I would like to suggest splitting the Classified section
in to two(2) sections

* Scanner(s)
* Non Scanner (or whatever)

It seems there are more Non- Scanner Items(every type of Motorola/Kenwoood/Icom/HF/TX.Etc.Etc.Etc.) for sale then Scanners.

For those of us that have NO desire to dig through all the Fore Sale items just to see if any scanners are for sale.

Just my suggestion

I wouldn't do this. Where would you post a VR-500, or an Icom R-20? Scanner or non-scanner? The guidelines would be a PITA.

Personally I like looking through only one For Sale forum. Use the search if you're looking for something specific.

These are both wide band receivers so they are scanners.
Shortwave radios are scanners as well.

I would have to say Anything that has Receive ONLY would be considered a scanner.

I thought this site was RadioReference, not ScannerReference.

This was mentioned elsewhere but can't remember where it was put, but this was my suggestion:
Classifieds Section

Scanners/Receivers For Sale (This is where you can list the VR-500, or an Icom R-20).

Motorola's Radios For Sale or Commercial and Professional Radios For Sale
( Since there is alot of these radios listed as we speak, seems like its getting more popular on the board).

Ham Radios For sale ( Or we can put Transceivers For Sale (Ham, CB's, FRS)

Radio Equipment Wanted

All Other Items For-Sale (This can include CB's or FRS etc?)

Take care
Ron

I agree Ron,

That looks allot better and more user friendly then the current setup.
I hope this can be changed, if not...... Oh Well.

and Yes, Motorola should have a separate section all together, since way better then half of the for sale section is Motorola.

Thanks
Jim

One other idea i had was to have another listing in the classified section for TRADES ONLY.

Currently trading is done in the Wanted section but some stuff in the For Sale section is trade as well.

But it should be for Trading ONLY and not items that are available for Trade or For Sale(as it is currently).

Thanks
Jim
