Message Display
Just to be sure it's not a problem I'm having, when I want to read a message, I get a blank screen for about 30-45 seconds then the message pops up, the site seems slow, anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I've noticed this too, since all the changes have taken place, it seems to be very sluggish loading pages for viewing compared to a couple of months ago.
Also, when I click on the icon to view "next unread" it doesn't always take me to the next post I haven't read. For instance, in a new thread started and has blossomed into a lot of posts while I was away, when I click on that icon it takes me to within four or five posts of the END of the thread, not the last one I viewed, which would be post #1.

Back when the big changes happened there were dozens of complaints about it being slow and there were probably hundreds of others who never post anything who have the same trouble.
We were told it was our computer, it was dial up, etc. - all our fault, and nothing improved. Here we are months later and it's still slow.
Then I got DSL and I figured that would solve the problem, but it did NOT.

Yesterday, I cleaned up my computer, got rid of music, photos, programs I don't use, etc. ran Disk Clean, Virus/Spyware checker, Defraged, cleaned all temp and internet files, and it helped a little, I agree before the changes it seemed a little faster. I'll have to get a good register cleaner and run that also.

I only see a delay of about 2 seconds between clicking and viewing the message.

Yes, when I read the forum from work using our sometimes flaky network there. At home, I rarely see the problem. It's like part of the page gets sent, but that final takes awhile. Until the browser sees that, it won't render the page.
