Default Add banners in forums

They appear about every 4th or 5th post in each forum. What all of a sudden did I do to deserve this? and again

Fact is, a banner is under each of my post in this thread. Gonna post this and see if another banner arrives.

So those of us that remain using Internet Explorer are being punished?

I guess it's a way to make some funds to keep the site up and running, but, they do come up to often, why not just have an add/banner below the first post in every new thread and leave it at that. The amount of threads created here will show the adds/banners enough, just an idea.

Either that or eBay seems to think we don't have enough scanners. Sure is tiresome, though.

The ads here are barely noticable, I don't know why people freak about them, they are on every website and this is the only website that you have to LOOK to find them!

So if you click on the down arrow next to the red stop sign and click preferences, A window will appear. Go to Filter -> Add filter subscription. Be sure you click on the radio button next to "EasyList USA" and press "Subscribe". Close and Re-open firefox and you should be good to go.

Also, be sure that if you click on the down arrow next to the ABP stopsign, be sure that "Disable on forums.radioreference.com" and "Disable on this page only" are NOT checked. If they are simply click them to uncheck them and then reload the page.

Make sure you're running the most recent build of FireFox, then download "NoScript" from the Tools / Addons menu. Initially, it will block too much, but you can fine tune for various sites without too much trouble. You need to make sure it's "forbidding" Ebay.com, which it will do automatically unless you choose to "allow" Ebay.

Thumbs up Banners are gone

Bz, those settings have been correct throughout,

dwj367 gave me a hint in post 9, but I could not find "no script" addon until Buckaroo showed me how. Still confused how they left the browser.

Anyway to all, thank you... the banners are gone like they were 2 days ago.

Frank, when you update FF, sometimes the addons do not work with such & such version & you may have to go back & get an older copy

Think that is what happened Paul, thanks for the note. As I recall it happened in a previous update, but don't recall a need to redo "no scripts" download.

By golly. I see an option message above the time area in Windows tray. This gives me a choice to allow RR which is necessary to use this Quote button correctly.

Edit: this option has normally been at top of browser, a check option sends it to lower right.
