Time Limit for Edits

I really wish you could/would extend the time allowed to return to a post to make edits. Two hours sounds like a lot of time but let's say I make a post and while driving to work I think of a change or additional information, two hours is pushing the window. Yeah, making another post for additional information is an alternative, but other types of edits to the post are hampered.

Anyway, my question, now that I'm off my soap box: If an edit is made to a post within the two hour time limit, does that extend the time limit out for another two hours?
