Default Private Message Accessability

I have recently payed for a 180 day Premium Subscription. I am not a feed provider. I am not able to send private messages to feed providers as I once was able to do. I was able to check my message inbox after the change to RR but now for some reason I am unable to do so. I understand not being able to send emails to the providers, as that is a privacy issue. Could someone clue me in on whats happening? I really wish to contact certain providers.

Thanks,
James

Hello, James.

PM's are now disabled for "new users" by default, with new user meaning you have less than 3 posts. This was mostly done to stop spammers from using the private message system to spam. Once you fulfill the required post count you will be able to send PM's and post w/o moderation.

Welcome to the site :-)

Well can you ask the Columbia-Richland County SC feed provider what the extended delay is concerning his feed? He said it would be back up by last Saturday and if any delays were encountered he would inform people. But neither has occurred. And does this count as a post ?

Since you're a Premium Subscriber I don't have an issue upgrading you to Approved.

I take it the feed provider doesn't list an email address.

Thanks for unlocking that for me. I checked real quick and he has opted to not receive emails. However, I sent him a quick PM.

Thanks

Default PM problems

I am having a PM problem also, I've sent some important PMs that have gone unanswered, Usually it takes weeks for people not to like me however these PMs were pretty important.

So maybe those you PMed did not like you right away and did not answer.
Or maybe they do not check their PMs very often.
Or maybe they don't answer anyone.
Or ... lots of things, none of which those not party to the PMs can do anything about.
