Default New forum announcement: "Multi-State Communications Networks"

Multi-State Communications Networks - The RadioReference.com Forums

I've added a new forum to the US Regional Radio Discussion category of forums. Its purpose will be to discuss communications networks that span more than one State. Our guidelines recommend all discussion of regional systems to be done in their regional forum, and since we don't allow crossposting, or link threads across multiple forums, this forum will serve as a place for those topics.

Keep in mind the discussion is for commercial, industrial and local government networks. Anything to do with Military or Federal networks should be posted to their respective forum under Topic Specific Forums.

Is that only for American multi-"state" networks? Or for example there are a couple in Australia that I know of that cover more than one state. And eventually you might see one or two in Canada.

I'm guessing that this would evolve according to traffic. Any multi-state system anywhere in the world should be on-topic. The new forum is likely to be dominated by U.S. systems, but if there is enough discussion of such systems in other places, then the forum can be subdivided.

But it's not because it's under the US Regional forums.

If it turns out to be helpful I'll consider one for CAN.

Well, of course. You had to start out where the anticipated traffic would be. But I suppose it would not be useful to slap anyone too hard for posting similar info from outside the US to what is for now the only multi-state forum. At least it would indicate the need and best location(s) for similar fora.

Good point. In all seriousness, assuming everyone would understand given that it says "State" and there are only US States under the category is a stretch for a handful on here. I updated the category name.
