Default Debating new scanner

Hi guys , new poster here..Got a small question ..I had started looking into upgrading to a new digital scanner , most likley another Uniden. I live in Orlando Fl., and have just discovered that the OCSO has gone encripted , as OPD did a year ago , also to soon follow will be FIre Rescue. Now I am debating upon weather to actually make the purchase , seeing alot of radios seem to be going encripted. I used to enjoy listening to what was going on around the neighborhood , and now its alot of quiet. If I do end up going with an upgrade , what is a good digital scanner to go with? I am moving up from a Uniden BCT8 that has been a great and solid lil unit.

Probably one of those questions best asked in the Florida state forum further down the forums page. That way you could interact with fellow scannists from your area Otherwise, you'll get a slew of answers that have nothing to do with Orlando.
