As usual for Thanksgiving where I am it is very quiet today. On a normal day there is non-stop chatter. Today there might be a fried turkey fire and later on some domestics once the alcohol takes effect. Other than that, really boring.

Since I've been up this morning, there has been 3 calls for house/apartment fire (just in my town on a countywide P25 system). One turned out to be a huge fire, someone did die.

Many other random calls, and one guy supposedly pacing his front yard with a loaded rifle, another with a gun threatening his neighbor. And frankly with lots going on, I haven't been listening all that intently.

Not even close to quiet here. My cities fire department has called for mutual aid 3 times this morning that I've heard.

Had a truck vs car head on this morning, had to fly both from the passenger car to different hospitals.
Just heard a few minutes ago that the female didn't make it.

They are still doing scene reconstruction as I'm typing.

Sad thing to happen today.

Almost witnessed domestic violence in Walgreens and my own house this morning but not much scanner traffic. Probably later on will be DV calls

Fire department here just cleared from a minor oven fire which filled a trailer house with smoke. 3 children in the house, oldest 14 yoa. All are OK, no injuries, parents weren't home at time of call, but now on scene. Turkey is the only casualty, suffered smoke inhalation and was unable to be revived. May you and yours have a happy turkey day.

Yes, a 901H is a fatality in the Phoenix, AZ metro area. Not sure about statewide use.

Guys, lets be careful about how many details we give when posting these specific incidents! I'm all for letting the community know, but Id hate for someone to find out about their loved one's death on this site....

Please note: I'm not saying anyone has gone to far yet. Just want us to be cautious!

Hmm... I don't know about that. An AWFULLY large number of coincidences (someone dies, person is on this site but doesn't listen to their scanner or watch their news, and doesn't have anyone from the family or officials call them with the info) would have to take place for that to occur. I think we're safe

These cold holidays are slowwwwww....... There's always the exceptional fire or shooting but nothing compared to hot summer nights. Enjoy your scanning...

Yes. Sorry. I sometimes assume every agency uses the same radio codes.

Nope. Our DOA code is called "code 13."

Haven't seen anyone post anything close to specific info so... the one I mentioned I didn't even say where it was.

I know not every agency doesn't use the same codes. It's just easy to forget
