Default Cheap Digital Scanner

Anyone have any good and cheap digital/analog scanners that work? Radioshack has some but really $350 for a scanner?

digital scanner and cheap are oxymorons. unless you want a used, possibly abused hand me down. i have a feeling that if you wait a few more months, someone will probably be introducing a new model/s that do tdma. when everyone get's on the sell their old one to get a new one, there will be a pleth. to choose from.

Check the RR classifieds right now! There are some great deals to be had.
But in general, cheap digital radios are sort of like finding a "cheap" BMW.

ive been a user (and buyer) of 2nd hand radios for years, never had a problem...i mod most all my units so warranties are no issue..

and to bump used..you can make some great scores on radios with lots of Extras..often for less than cost new..Except for the GRE PSR500..that thing holds value like a K5 Blazer!

you can often find a used PRO-96 on here and ebay for less than 200 bux. Its still a very good digital scanner.

yep, not everybody abuses their stuff. i've done dozens of sales, buys and trades of radio equipment. i never had 1 bad experience. when i sell something, i like to think of the buyer being in my shoes.
i've had people rave about the condition of my sold radio gear.

If you don't need mobility, the cheapest way to monitor a trunked system is SDR# and one of the DVB sticks.

It'll only cost you about $35 to set up, but is a bit fiddly and quirky.
