I know on Fords, Yes they do, Locked or not. On ANY G.M. product, Yes. Unless you're to stupid to unlock it first then pull the release handle. After so many years, One would think G.M. would adopt the same mechanism in case of emergency. Who really thinks to first unlock then open? No, its always get that door open as fast as possible.

I do believe it's the latest Corvette model (high trim option) that has electric door releases on the inside.

Mall security dispatcher: All units, check for a dog in the mall. Last location in the food court.
A few minutes later, a security officer responds: Dog located. No action taken. Dog is a service dog.
Dispatcher: That's clear. Thank you.

Fords is mechanical. Electric does no good if the vehicle is submerged in water.

I've got a recent one that I heard around Halloween time in 2011.
Our city police was called to a disturbing the peace call of kids playing football in the road.
Dispatcher: Tom Paul xx
Unit: Tom Paul xx go ahead.
Dispatcher: Tom Paul XX, I received a call of a group of kids in the middle of xxx street. 10-17 advises the group is being loud and are gathered in the street.
Unit: Tom Paul xx - 10-4, I'll be en route to the kangaroo call.
Dispatcher: 10-4 thank you.
Unknown 2nd unit: *chuckling* did you say kangaroo call??

Just a few minutes ago:
A local township patrol is sent to a local mobile home park, as an "assist to other agency" call, to locate "Jane Smith" and see if "John Jones" is her son. If so, can someone retrieve Mr. Jones from city X, in the next county.
Officer: No one here, at lot 130, knows Jane Smith, nor John Jones. They say they bought the trailer this past May.
Dispatch: Did you say 130? 1...3...0?
Officer: Yes
Dispatch: You were supposed to go to 139, 1...3...9
Officer: That might make a difference. That's what I get for trying to read, while I'm driving.
Two minutes later...
Officer: There is a car registered to Jane Smith, here at 139. I think I'm getting closer...

Heard on a Burlington Co, NJ local police "chat" channel:
Unit 1: XXXX to XXXX on local.
Unit 2: Go ahead.
Unit 1: Respond to the rear of the station and meet the Verizon crew. You'll need to unlock the gate to the cell tower for them.
Unit 2: Okay.
Unit 1: Make sure you check their ID.
Unit 2: You mean the big van that says Verizon on the side isn't enough?
Unit 1: *chuckles* Just check their ID.
Unit 2: Never know, could be touch-tone terrorists...

While responding to a "Vehicle into a building" call:
Dispatcher: Chief 14, it's a male subject who attempt to flee the police after a traffic stop, but apparently a house got in his way. Scene is not secure yet.
Chief 14: *chuckles* O...kay.

Dispatch tone out local FD engine & medic: Engine xxx, Medic xxx medical emergency <address of local hospital> ...
Engine xxx: In route.
Medic xxx: In route.
Dispatch: You have a patient that has passed out. The patient is located in the <pause> ER waiting room? Wait, let me call the ER and see what's going on.
Dispatch: On hold with ER, but the caller states that they were told it would be another hour before they can be seen and want to go to a different hospital.
Dispatch: The ER states that the patient didn't pass out, but didn't like the wait time they were given. They're with the nurse now, you may disregard if you wish.
Engine xxx: Code 4, available by radio.
Medic xxx: Code 4, available by radio.
Why do I wish that they would've taken the patient in the ambulance around to the ambulance entrance where the patient would've remained on the gurney for the hour and gotten the large bill for the ambulance ride. When they stated they wanted to go to a different hospital, they should've been told "We must take you to the closest ER, and this is it." The other thing that would've been good is to take them down to the public hospital, where their hour wait would've turned into five or six hours waiting (and they'd still get the huge ambulance bill)!

These drive me crazy! Sadly, this is a quite common occurrence where I live. Though, the majority of people that do it here don't ever get bills. Thanks for sharing this one!
This happens once a day, or so, here... Patient at Urgent Care requesting transport to ER. Initial complaint, scraped knee(or minor sprain) now stating they have chest pain. (There is a large sign stating "If you have chest pain, we'll get you in immediately" at the UC desk. ) So Resue, an Engine, and Ambo roll out to drive them, maybe 50yds.
