I have a Uniden BC700A without a user's manual. Can anyone help me on how to program my local frequencies into a scan list. Thanks.

BC-700A Programing and Manual

npd_66,
I have successfully programed BC-700A's using the instructions for
a BC-350. They are vitrually the same radio, except the 700 has
800 Mhz capability. The manual for the BC-350 is available on the
Uniden site.

 My previous reference to the BC-350 won't work.

I'm not familiar with the BC300A - do you have a link to the manual?

Uniden did produce a BC350A which was similar to the BC700. A PDF manual is on the Uniden site. Radio Shack sold a radio very similar to the BC700, the PRO-2038. They have text instructions on site, no PDF manual.

Well yes, that's the BC350A I referred to. You mentioned a BC300A, a model I am not familiar with.

I gave my internet copy of the manual to the last person I programed one
for. The book was from a version of the BC-350A that was sold in Europe.
It had different model numbers, but it was the same scanner. The book
even had the 800 MHz specs. I asked the owner to bring me the book,
and I'll try to get the web page for it. The BC-350A book should work for
everything except it's missing any reference to the 800 Mhz. Lots of info
on out-of-band conversion on the BC-700A, a simple google brings up
about 9 pages.

:D Thanks for the help. I looked on Uniden's website and tried several different models and none of them seemed to work. I believe the BC300 or the BC350 are the correct instructions for the BC700A that I have but I haven't been able to get them to work yet. When I turn on my scanner it also says "memory loss" in the lower right corner of my display. Would this have anything to do with my problem and how can I get it to go away? Thanks in advance for anyone's help!
