Ive recently stumbled across a group of 900mhz frequencies that seem to be using encryption of some sort. the frequencies are some where in or around Matagorda county texas and i couldnt find any database information on them.

Ive included a sound sample of the stream, if any one can identify what this is i would greatly appreciate it.

what are those paging systems typically used for and in what application?
depending, but on other frequencies in the list the patterns are way different , still some simularities but definatly never the same

Just like cellphones (same law), it's illegal to decode common carrier paging. Unlike encrypted voice comms, it's POSSIBLE, but not legal.

Its against the law here in the US but...... if you would like to study paging decoders for "academic purposes" then Google is your friend...

2.16 is the most recent version of PDW AFAIK, and is my favorite.......for amateur use/testing only, of course.
