Request to scanner manufacturers

This may have been discussed elsewhere, but I would like to keep it fresh in the minds of the R&D engineers working on new scanner designs. Someone please make a scanner that can mute MDC-600 MDC-1200 G-Star etc. An even better feature would be a decoder, but at least an option to mute the burst. Even with lots of digital protocols coming onto the scene there are lots of people that will use analog voice and these identification protocols for a number of years.

Actually I'd like to see both options. Sometimes the burst has no useful information, but MCD decode would be great.

Probably because its annoying to some people. It doesn't really bother me, but I don't often listen to anybody who uses it either.

Actually it's not the MDC that bothers me. The PA Turnpike uses G-Star which is extremely annoying to listen to.
