Need input on choosing new scanner.

I am looking at getting a new scanner either another bcd396t or psr-500. I had a 396 and sold it due to the "machine gunning" issues, I very rarely used the Fire Tone Out, but I did like the size of it and it was fairly easy for me to understand. I am currently using a bc296d, and it works fine i just hate that it takes a battery pack. I have never used a GRE product, and I was just wondering if the decoding would be better, and how easy it would be to program as well as easy to use. I listen to mainly all trunked systems, such as Greensboro, High Point, Winston Salem, Kernersville, and Thomasville, in North Carolina. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

New Scanner

I've had a Pro-96 for a long time and for ease of use, it's the one to get and will do all that you want.
I have a BCD-396T I'm trying to get a friend to buy (cheap) in order to be rid of it.
I just got the PSR-500 and love it - it takes some getting used to.....but it's great
