Default a scanning dream

I just woke up from a great scanning dream lol the dream was that a Dem and a Rep in congress ended up passing a law that says that all dispatch ops be in the clear and encirpson only be use on sen chs (SWAT, Vice Durg task force EMS to hosptel )

Unfortunately, they're more likely to pass a law 'For Homeland Security', of course, mandating encryption on all law enforcement systems.

Done deal about a decade ago. The FCC mandated that "all transmissions of a sensitive nature" be encrypted which is exactly why we have the situation today. Some think all transmissions are sensitive, thus 100% encryption is common. As for Homeland Security, where do you think the grant money comes from? Hey, when it's a free ride everybody hops on the gravy train.
