Default What is your code/signal for a shooting?

Most of the metro Atlanta area uses a signal 50 (person shot).

Yours?

There is also 25 for shots fired by Atlanta PD. I just heard a 25 call about a half hour ago.

10-32 is the code for a gun or for a subject with a gun (i.e. "subject is 10-32"). Whenever shots have been fired in my county, I usually hear the officers get on the radio and yell "Shots fired, Shots fired!"

10-88 is a man with a gun code in Utah. Someone being shot we just use plain talk.

Orange County, CA

998 - Officer involved in gun battle (I'm assuming this is the one that is being asked about)
417 - Man w/a gun
245 - Assault with a deadly weapon

It will usually come over as a "10-34 male/female shot" in NYC. For shots fired, it would be a "10-10 shots fired"

We don't have codes for it around here. They say shots fired and then whether or not the suspect is still there.
