Trunked P25 audio cuts out

I am listing to our county system using trunked P25. When listening (even on Hold) the audio cuts out as if it was checking a priority channel. I do not have the priority function on. What can I set so that the P25 audio doesnt cut out? Thanks

Check the setting on your software.

Is there an option for P25 hold time?
Sounds like you may have to increase the seconds.

Depends on what type of scanner you have, also what type of system your listening to. P25 simulcast can cause havoc with a scanner and you might not hear much audio at all. This can only be corrected by a location change or a change in antenna setup.

I know you checked the priority channel, but did you check to see if it is checking for weather alerts?
You were messing with this function a couple of days ago, you mentioned this in the Uniden Forum.

Press Func + the WX key one short press to turn on and off WX priorty settings.

Bingo ! I never thought of the Weather Alert. Yes, I have that on, and now it's off and the audio is not breaking. Thank you N4YEK
