Default In Search Of - auomobie adapter

I am looking for an automobile adapter (for cigarrette lighter) for my
Radio Shack Pro-94 Scanner. I need a 9 V 300 mA adapter. Salesperson at
my local Radio Shack says Radio Shack is no longer making them.

I looked around on web - - but didn't find any. Any suggestions?

Thank You.

Something like this has different voltage selections and plug sizes, one of which should work:
DC/DC Switching Power Adaptor | Distributed By MCM | MW292

Here's another from a different supplier:
MULTI-VOLTAGE CAR POWER ADAPTER | AllElectronics.com

No, you need a 9 volt adapter that will supply at least 300 mA. Big difference.

And verify the polarity before buying / using it.

Go to a different store!

Or...

Go back to this store and show them this:
Enercell™ 9-Volt 1000mA Vehicle DC Adapter - RadioShack.com

If your store does not have it in stock, you can always order it. You will also need a size H Adaptaplug™ adapter (according to the manual):
Enercell® Adaptaplug™ H - RadioShack.com

Gotta love "The Shack"! "You've got questions? We've got cell phones!"

Good luck!

Be careful when purchasing a 12VDC multi-range adapter. The cheap ones are just series resistors that are switched to obtain voltages (and they don't even drop the voltage efficiently). They can burn up it your current demands are too much. The better ones contain actual circuitry that switch a power transistor to regulate the desired voltage. Good Luck.
