Default New Denzel Washington Movie

Filming for "Unstoppable", a new movie starring Denzel Washington is taking place in Tyrone, PA the first few days of November. I found several frequencies being used by the crew. The communications were interesting and constant, hardly two seconds of silence. Found were:

461.2375 -- seemed to be the main freq., used by the director
461.3625
462.8625
467.8625
462.9125
467.9125
466.3125
466.3375
457.525
461.2625
461.2875

No, sorry. Today (Wednesday 11/4) was the last day of filming in Tyrone. They are moving to another PA location that is not far away, either Milesburg or Port Matilda. I won't be there. After that, filming will be done in Ohio, WV, and Pittsburgh. Where in OH and WV, I don't know. Supposedly, many of the inside the train scenes featuring Denzel are to be filmed in Pgh. If you find where and when they are in OH, WV, and Pgh, go for it. It is interesting, non-stop communications. Heard today: "Wait til Mike's wife gets to Pgh and gets turned on by those pierogies!"

Default Bellaire, Ohio next

Thanks for the information.

Bellaire, Ohio is next which is located about 10 miles south of Wheeling, West Virginia. Don't know about any other locations.

Latest start date in Bellaire is the week of November 9, that'a a week later than the first scheduled week of November 2.

This one is a FOX (as in 20th Century Fox) freq. which happens to be the production company for this film. Nice catch, now people can have a listen while it passes through their locales.

Anybody know what the legalities are of streaming a business communication? From the standpoint of the parties involved having the expectation that their transmissions, while not private, will not be heard outside of the range of the radios.

As always, the legalities would be hotly debated. But having worked in production, I can almost promise that they would be extremely unhappy if they found someone was doing it, and it would run the risk of giving scanning yet another black eye.

Just my opinion.

I agree, it could be taken as corporate espionage should the content be leaked to unscrupulous individuals. Just another reason to keep certain things you hear on the scanner to yourselves and let the spies run the risk of finding themselves on the wrong end of criminal and civil action.

Having been on several locations I can tell you it's far more interesting listening to a portable than watching the shoot. In one case they did so many takes of one scene it went on all day, I could see by the faces the director was lucky he wasn't the one shot. (;->)

Never thought about that way, What about the railroad and ATC streams? Railroads and Airlines are a business. Not sure why a production company would be any different.
