Uniden 396T on Crack!

I've read many postings that you guys have posted, and I've learned a great deal. I'd like to thank you for sharing! When I upgraded my 396T to the version 3.0.2 firmware, my reception went WAY down, signal strength all over the place, and Cobb and Gwinnett basically disappeared (the FD). I sent the radio to Uniden, who quickly took my 60 bucks and sent me a nice letter telling me "operator error" and there's nothing wrong with it. Well, there is...it's not the systems, it's the firmware upgrade. Some folks ha ve written they have downgraded their firmware, which Uniden says you can't do, and their radios are back to life. PLEASE HELP! Where do I find the older firmware versions and loader files. Also, which loader do I use?

I think what you need to do is just query the "down grade" on the web, or hop over to the Uniden Scanner forum and someone there can help you.

Well, I did this on the Uniden forum. A gentleman named Rocksteady walked me through and my radio is back to normal. I'm grateful for his help!
