Default Regional P25 systems in Georgia

Interesting find here, concerning buildout of regional systems around NW Georgia, Savannah, western Georgia. Anyone in Savannah who can shed more light on that buildout?

Well, you will see one that RR adamently swears it's Atlanta Urban Area Security Initative, but it's nothing more than the Cobb County DTRS P25 system. Cobb County owns/operates this system, so it's not a build out because everyone in the Metro Atlanta area who has gone P25 have their own system.

I read over that article, only $2.5m is for training/planning cost (10% of the total). In the end, I'll guarantee you 90% will go to "training/planing" and only 10% will be left for equipment that will never be installed/used.

I suspect this will all just be a linking together of individual TRS's to cover a wide area. Chatham and Effingham are all on one system (3600 SmartZone), Bryan County is on their own TRS (9600 P25), and Bulloch is on their own TRS (3600 Simulcast). I understand that this is also planned to work down I-95 as well, with the Chatham, Bryan, and Glynn County systems if some of the other counties go 800.

Unfortunately, that's about all that I can add - not much really.
