Default WARRS in Heard Co.

I have a Uniden BR330T scanner. I see where Heard Co. fire has gone to WARRS. I dont have that choice when programing my scanner. I just have Motorola and I think Southern Link. Does anyone have info on how to install this system or will it work on the Mot setting? Thanks

Default Heard County

Marty,

The WARRS system is a "Motorola P25" trunked system. Once you enter "PROGRAM SYSTEM", it will ask you what type system you want to program. It will give you "P25", "MOTorola", "EDCS", "LTR", "Conventional". Since the WARRS system is a P25 system, that is the option you should choose. After you enter that, the remainder of the choices are fairly straightforward. Yell if you need more assistance or send me a PM.

I don't think the BC330 does digital. You will need either a 396XT hand held, 996XT base or HP-1 to hear a P25 system.

you will for sure need a digital scanner to hear anything in heard county. it kinda upset me when they went digital and i had to put out $400 for a new scanner. but there is a huge difference in the 2 systems.
