Coverage area if the Atlanta Police and Fire

I was wondering if any knows the coverage area of the APD and AFD. I have programed their freqs in my scanner and cannot pick them up in Fayetteville, Ga. I remember several years ago that I had no trouble monitoring them from Fayetteville.

its 16 miles what the db shows you should pick them up with no problem

my XTS5000 loses the ATDTRS about the Clayton/Henry county line.
It would be fringe area at best. A scanner has about the 1/4 the amount of sensitivity, especially on CQPSK, of a "for real" radio...so yeah, you're WAY outside of the intended coverage area.

but this may soon change if Clayton county migrates to the Atlanta system and adds the needed additional simulcast sites to cover the southside.

To answer the question as to what type of scanner, I have it is a Pro 106. That is good information as to Clayton Co possible sharing Atlanta system.
