Overnight and tomorrow sure looks to be a winter wonderland I just hope that the ice/snow forecast doesn't cause too many problems for the north metro area.

The "Weather" Channel has named the storm Pax.
Please call her by her legal name and not "the big ice"

Dekalb PD has put all their traffic, gang, SWAT, and special ops officers onto 12 hour emergency shift operations and told them to saturate the highways and major intersections.

I'm also told GSP has put Gwinnett based troopers on 12 hour shifts and has MRE's and water bottle cases available.

The "weather channel" is not an official legal authority to name storms, look to the NWS.

Does it matter ? They are doing it anyway. And they are the only one naming Winter storms, basically to generate HYPE not Awareness

Hey! it was just a joke!

You know women don't like to be called "BIG"-anything. Pax is already self conscious about her size.

On the news they showed the National Guard. In the background you could hear a digital radio they were using. I saw one guy on a WT.

Any idea if what they are using and is it able to be monitored?

Just looked at the traffic cams. Not a sole on the highways! That's good!
