I have been hunting for any proof of the MCLB Albany (okay, Albeennny) 380 MHz trunked radio system.

It had been rumored to be 'in development' for a few years.

Found it..... sort of.

Control channel is 380.325 (P25 Phase I, NFM, NAC 00A (zero zero alpha) )

As I was driving through the area, I heard only one talkgroup (11304) and it was fully encrypted.

Good range around the Albany area, even as far north as Leesburg.

I'll be back to monitor it soon and I'll bring UniTrunker to help....

I spent a few minutes of my quick trip to Albany to analyze this trunked system....

MCLB Albany
Albany, GA
Site 051-051 (#51)
WACN 86451

CC 380.1250
AC 380.3250
AC 380.4875
AC 380.6250
AC 380.7750
AC 380.9375

Active (but unidentified) talkgroups today: 2301, 2304, 3301, 3305, 11304, 11310, 11312, 12301, 13306, 13309, 13311.

UniTrunker called the system a MA/COM (Harris?) P25 system and identified it as 86451-00A. The band plan shows a line for 2nd slot (Phase II TDMA) - base 380.000 low channel 00-000, high channel 00-4095, spacing 12.5, slot 1; base 380.000, low channel 08-000, high 08-4095, spacing 12.5, slot 2. The NAC, as discovered earlier, is 00A.

I wasn't tracking the audio, so I don't know what was encrypted. The two most active talkgroups (11304 and 13309), however, did not display an 'enc' code on UniTrunker.
