Default Used Talkabouts

I bought Three used Motorola Talkabouts today. Two T5600s, and a T5820. The man that owned them couldn't understand why two wouldn't charge. That's because there was only one with a rechargable pack inside! The others employed alkalines. Anyway, I offered to give him (back) the money He'd payed for them, a total of five bucks! Two drop chargers with wall-warts included.

Thumbs up

You got quite the deal there! Did the prev owner blow up the alkalines that were in them when he tried to charge up? Something to add to your camping gear, huh?

They work fine! We used them today at the local Flea Market. ( I bought a BC60XLT-1 for $10) My daughter and I played with them for a while.

Wink

I hope you have your GMRS license before you operate on GMRS frequencies.

Cool

He doesn't need one as long as he uses the frs channels, but then again if you listen...this is a moot point.

Question

Range? On which radios? Are you asking about gmrs range in general? Using a repeater or simplex?
What's on your mind?

Smile MeddleMan's Radios!

I meant the rage on the T5600 and T5800, and whether or not is there any voice inversion on them?

I'm not sure on those two models,as I don't have those. I have some T7200's and MX700's. I used to have a T5950 and it had single inversion scrambling.
I get about 1-1.5 miles in populated areas with my T7200's with out any problems.
They worked great over the holiday!
