Default Boston Area Re-Banding ?

Hello,

Getting to be a bit confusing at my age.

Is there a "summary list" posted somewhere for the greater Boston area that shows what's been "re-banded," or do you have to dig each freq. out individually and check from the RR listings ?

Thanks,
B.

You can go to the 800 MHz Transition Administrator's page and enter the system's call sign (not the frequencies; the call sign) in the box. When you click Go, another page will pop up (you must override any pop-up suppression by pressing the Ctrl key at the same time you click on Go) showing the frequencies licensed to that call sign and what the frequencies will be after rebanding. If rebanding is finished, it will indicate that no further changes will be needed.

Rebanded systems will not have any 800 MHz frequency over 861.0000 MHz if I recall correctly.

Actually, you should probably ask this question in the Massachusetts Discussion Forum because the active local members should know what is or is not rebanded.

To All digital newbies.... I purchased a GRE 600 3/09. I barely understand the details above the most basic concepts of trunked, control channel, etc. Here is how I programmed my communities Motorola Type blah blah rebanded system: JOined radioreference premium. Bought WIN500 (programming software). Downloaded my City's channel data into Win500. Clicked on Trunking menu and selected custom. That was IT. So, if you can do that, you are good to go, even if you havn't the foggiest idea yet about how exactly the fantastic digital FM interoperability systems encode each portion of each control channel, talk groups etc. Download, listen, and enjoy while reading up on what each digit group on the control channels means in your system.

Welcome to RR n9hsm, no it does not include the win500 so you will need to purchase them separately.
