Thumbs down PRS-500 search steps

Has anyone had any indication from GRE that they might include user search step selection in a future upgrade? We could get faster searches if we could set a search step to match frequency assignments (for example 25 khz in mil-air ranges) in ad-hoc as well as stored searches.

It is probably the single most frustrating issue about these scanners, and I have heard not a whisper about it being fixed, which is suprising considering how well GRE normally responds to things.
