gre 300 programming win 97

Hello
I have a pro 97 and can laod from my win 97 .
NOW my DAd is in town and wants me to load his GRE for some reason it will not reconise the cable ???
to my understanding there basically the same units .
I have the side by side and the RS has better reception than his ??

iam shure there is a thread some place but dad is on his way tuesday to visit me and i would like to have his radio ready for his trip back home .
any suggestions will be welcomed.

if you have the pci cable it want work you need the usb cable http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2177609 then make sure you have downloaded the update to win 97 so that it will program the gre 300

Thanks . I got him started so now he can set up his radio once he gets back to PA .
