I have searched the threads and found no matches regarding the above.
I just purchased a new lap-top, runnin Vista, without a RS232 serial port. I have been looking for the USB
cable to program my RS PRO-92 and PRO-2067. I do have a a USB to RS232 converter cable the works great for programming these scanners.
Just out of curiosity, I tried programming my PRO-92 with the cable that came with my PSR-500, useing WIN92. Too my surprise the WiN92 software, Vista operating system and the PSR-500 programming cable worked flawlessly together. Has onyone else tried this? What were your results?
I know that the RS-047 cable has been reported to not be compatible with the PRO-92 PRO-2067 scanners. Does the GRE PRS-500 supplied one have a differing congfiguration?

Must have missed the report, but no on second part. The GRE 30-3290 or RS 20-047 were out well before the PSR-500 and in use for 92/2067, 93/2053, 95, 96/2096, and 97/2055. The only change is how the cable is use for GRE and RS models similar to newer GRE. The later scanners do not place the scanner in Clone Mode when inserted but also allow remote operations.
