Angry PSR600-Win500 Upload-Hangs at 87% Complete

Help, everything has been working fine for months. Using Win500 v1.86 with latest USB driver. I did a "download from scanner", added one convential frequency, then a "upload to scanner", and it "hangs" and displays:

PC/IF->FileSys
87% complete
Cancl

I have tried the PowerOn Quick Key sequence 0,1 to "Destructive, clears working memory and resets all Global settings to factory defaults. Does not affect V-Scanners." I have tried this a couple of times, then try uploading again - same results

Hello n0vza,

I have a PSR-500 and Win500. Also I was getting that problem
at times and found the cause was the scanner was scanning during upload to scanner. So I put it on manual and I no longer get this error.

Also good to see how much memory you have left? Too little
and found I got that error if I was too low on memory. I had way too much stuff! And 3% left of memory caused that error also,trimmed the file and that worked.

And a low power source during the upload will also cause problems.

Not sure if this will help you with your problem,but good luck!

Thanks for the insight and sharing your experiences, but did I mention I was running Windows XP Pro SP3? Seems a simple "reboot" of the computer fixed the problem!

Check the CPU firmware version in your radio. If it's 1.1 or below, you'll need to update it. Updates are available from the GRE site at GRE America, Inc. - Powered By Kayako SupportSuite
