Default PSR-500 NAC Search?

Can you search a frequency range, and only allow a hit if the 500 detects a specified NAC (or CTCSS tone)?

I am thinking not...

I have the 197 equal to the 600 and as far as I know, thats negative. It will search and show the tone (CT/DCS/NAC) I dont think it will break it down that far.

That's what I thought.

Being able to filter search ranges on CTCSS and NAC, along with specifying search range step sizes, would be 2 nice additions.

Default PSR-500 NAC Search?

I sort of did that with analog PL one a few years back. I programmed a range of frequencies with the same PL tone and let it scan. Sort of like scanning instead of searching, but with high channel capacity and computer logging it allowed me to check the log later to see what frequencies were active with a given PL tone.

Good idea - I did exactly that. Thanks!
