Default Just bought a 300...

I just bought a PSR-300 from Scanner Master...got the case, the cable, and the software. Didn't get the DC-DC cord since I already have one for my PRO-82 (9-volt) and at most I will need to purchase a new end from RS (they are interchangeable).

Hopefully this will work well...I was looking at both the GRE 300 and the RS PRO164, and it basically came down to cost. Now I need to learn the tricks of this scanner...trunking is new to me. I am really interested in the SAME and SkyWarn features...I travel cross country and those may come in handy.

I guess the next purchase will be to the forums to see all the available frequencies in the area...1,000 channels!

Thumbs up Psr-300

I got the PSR-300 from ScannerMaster too. What a deal! From my point of view, it is an updated PRO-97. I was able to use the same accessories I use for the '97 including programming it from WIN97.

Well, got the scanner today (it was in yesterday, but I was in Florida)...the box looked like they dropped something heavy on it. The scanner and stuff were fine however.

I got to load some frequencies...even some of the trunked stuff, even though I don't understand trunking yet.

So far so good. Works as expected...the most difficult thing is deciding what to keep and what to trash!
