Which Scanner to Buy

I'm looking to buy a new trunking scanner (AAPCO 25 & 9600 baud[Austin,Tx]). I still have my RS 2096, but am looking for the latest & greatest. I've been out of circulation for about a year. Is the PSR500/600 still top dawg? (features, flexibility, etc. or is there something new in the pipe? Any help is greatly appreciated... It's a little overwhelming getting back into it!

For GRE the 500/600 are the newest.
Uniden has the most recent scanner with the 396xt/996xt do pretty much the same basics as the gre's with some fancy add one (gps compatible etc)
However the GRE are still true multi site (roam stat) the unidens are not

Gre is rumoured to be working on something but at the moment it's all rumour.
